Extra?: They are worn on both wrists and are retractable. (Made of a new metal alloy that allows them to be thin and light, yet not easily broken by constant clashes with a sword) They come out of their sheathes when Zan Xi activates a mechanism by flexing his hands in a certain way. On Xi's forearms are two pieces of metal that are made of the same material as the blades, allowing him to block strokes from a sword just by holding out his arm if he cannot simply dodge them.

These blades are possessed by a good spirit that influences Xi's thoughts and constantly tries to make him do good acts. Basically it's the opposite spirit for the armor.
